Outcomes and Benefits of FiL
Outcomes
Faith in Leadership brings together a high performing group of 25 - 35 year olds (broadly) from the different faith groups in Britain in a safe and generative learning environment and:
- Enables you to develop a shared language of leadership
- Enables you to understand that leadership is about the relationship between the leader and the led
- Equips you with seminal insights into the dynamics that affect groups, changing organisations and people, the coaching relationship, the personal dimension of conflict transformation, national and international policies affecting community cohesiveness, and the role of faith in an increasingly globalised world
- Equips you with practical ways of making changes at home, within the community and the world, beginning with yourself
- Provides you with training and a fellowship across all communities that will support you in initiatives to effectively tackle extremism and bigotry within your own community and beyond
- Brings you to the attention of policy-makers who deal with issues of community cohesion
- Provides you with a resource for on-going, excellent leadership training as part of an alumni programme
Programme Benefits
Following FiL, you can expect to:
- Develop your abilities to manage yourself in the multiple roles necessary for contemporary leadership
- Use your emotional literacy to inform your actions
- Understand and overcome resistance to change in yourself and others
- Take up leadership, consultative and coaching roles, formally and informally, in relation to challenges at work, at home and in the community
- Develop an understanding of some the needs of people of other faiths
- Develop an understanding of some of the needs of a younger generation
- Better understand some of the current issues facing community and faith cohesion in Britain and beyond
We encourage employers to see the FiL programme as a necessary and fundamental part of their employees' development. The experiences that participants will undergo during the programme will enhance their capabilities as professionals and add weight to their curricula vitae.
