• About Faith in Leadership

  • About FiL

Faith in Leadership was founded in 2007 to create a family of diverse faith leaders that are well equipped to lead inter and intra-faith initiatives for the benefit of all. Faith leaders and communities have an immense impact on society. Faith in Leadership recognises that bringing a quality of leadership, driven by faithful values, is critical to societal and economic flourishing and benefits all, regardless of faith and cultural background.

Political leadership has experienced a crisis of confidence.Communities are drawing on deeply held and traditional values to expose failings in their leaders (including religious). Yet across much of the globe faith leaders carry authority and influence beyond many of their secular and political counterparts. Crises like ebola in Western Africa or modern day slavery in affluent countries are being turned around by the intervention of faith leaders, whose ability to impact mass behaviour, let alone and personal values, is being recognised more than ever by the world’s most powerful decision-makers.

Over the past decade Faith in Leadership has been bringing together a robust faculty of leaders, experts and academics pioneering programs that include:

    • Training for organisational and public leaders needing to better understand the motivations and drivers of religious people (eg staff, customers, constituents).

    • Leadership training for senior and emerging faith leaders, equipping them to transform conflict, and to engage in the public square and with the media.

    • Leadership development for young people from religious as well as secular backgrounds as a way of developing their abilities to contribute to the public square.

    • Equipping all leaders to negotiate the boundary between public and religious life, to heal trauma and conflict, whether personal, internal (within their organisation or denomination) or external.

Our programs have positively supported individuals, communities and society at large. Whether educating congregants, responding to national crises or bridging divides our offerings have equipped faith leaders to be on the front lines of building a cohesive, cooperative and compassionate society.

  • “Faith in Leadership enables us to see all the ways that the deep resources of our faith traditions can be put to work for humanizing the world we live in.”
